There were eight of us in the shop this week ....

I think "top half" might be my best ever performance at this one! I'd like to say that it is just complete randomness, but the same names (mainly Sue and Rachel) always seem to appear near the top. Hmm.
We split into two groups for a little while .....

This looks like it was a pretty close game. If I remember right, I think Rachel and Sue had played the game before, but it was first game for Dave and Darren. Which seems to be reflected in the score slightly!

This was an excellent game, as always. I feel a little like I stole the game from Mike, as he improved a city in one of the final turns, not noticing that I could sneak in and pinch one of the cubes - Little did I know that it was the cube he was relying on for a 5-point delivery. This knocked him down a couple of points, which was enough to allow me to tie the scores, and then win on the tie-break. A very close and tricky game.

More quick silliness to fill some time while they were waiting for me to make one last decision in Steam.

This is always a bit of fun. Roj spent a large portion of the game machine-gunning his teammates! An unusual game in that everyone was revealed reasonably quickly - I was the first to do so, thanks to a card that healed me, and then, of course, no one could attack me without revealing their allegiance, which made things quite interesting. After Rachel died, we knew where the Neutrals were as Darren had already reset his damage, and then it became much simpler working out who was who!

It took a little while to decide what to end the evening with, and this was eventually chosen, despite a few people not being that keen, and then we all had a blast playing it! Possibly because we hadn't played the game for a little while, and possibly because there were some real tricky decisions for the auctioneers, but it was great fun. Darren took an almost completely random ship in the second round which scored him an absolute fortune, so obviously it was a lucky win, and not at all deserved!
