Just the six gamers in the pub this week ....
Players:
David F-F, Haydn,
Lesley, Neil C, Nick, Sue
Games Played:
Three of us were in early, so this quickie was chosen
Neil:
69
Nick: 65
Sue: 60
This is a fun little game, and a pretty good opened. Neil bought two cards: An extra ship and the Trade Agreement. I only bought a dock worker, which proved quite useful, and Sue had an extra ship and an office.
We were up to six now, but went for this fun little game to see if anyone else was coming ....
David:
(Werewolf -- Shadow) Alive
Nick: (Vampire -- Shadow) Dead
Haydn:
(Allie -- Neutral) Dead
Lesley: (Bob -- Neutral) Dead
Neil: (Frank -- Hunter) Dead
Sue: (Emi -- Hunter) Dead
This was a lot of fun. It's not often that there's only one survivor in the whole game!
Journey to the Center of the Earth
We split into two groups of three.
David:
50 (17 fossils)
Nick:
50 (16 fossils)
Sue: 37
This was the first time any of us had played this one, and we all enjoyed it. I don't know whether it would always be that close, but David won it by a single extra card in the tie-breaker. However, he forgot to use an event card on the last turn that would have saved him a fossil, so the margin should have been a point or two, I think. A fun family game with enough to think about.
And the other three were off trading spices ....
Neil:
30 (More cash than Lesley)
Lesley: 30 (Less cash than Neil)
Haydn: 28
This looks like it was a very close game as well. Only Neil had played before.
Our journey was quicker than the Goa game, so we played this quickie while we were waiting ...
Nick:
17 ($28m)
Sue:
11 ($39m)
David:
32 ($25m)
Always a fun and quick game, although this one went to the last card. I just managed to save a little more cash than David, which gave me the win by default!
For some reason, I suggested this to end with .....
David:
2 lives left
Neil:
Last to drop
Sue: 4th to fall
Haydn: 3rd to go
Lesley: 2nd to drop
Nick:
1st to die
No surprise there then. I always come last (usually by some margin) in this one, and David wins more than his fair share! It's a silly game.
And that was all we had time for. Sorry about the rushed report ... Things are a little busy here.
