Monday 10th November 2008
There were ten of us in the pub this week. For a little while, anyway.
Players:
David
H, Haydn, Lesley, Martin, Neil C, Nick, Rich, Simone, Sue, Tracey
Games Played:
David
H:
18
Rich: 0
Simone: 0
This doesn't look overly close, really. David was the only one left with any brains, and he had a whole bunch of them!
We split into two groups, with this quickie being the choice of the group of four, just in case anyone else was coming along ...
Haydn:
27
Neil: 27
Lesley:
22
Tracey:
18
This looks like it was pretty close. Stating the obvious a bit, I guess, as the scores ended up level. Neil and Haydn also tied for the tie-breaker, so it was a dead heat. This one was enjoyed by all, which was good, as it's had pretty mixed reactions before that.
The other five of us got kind of tied up for the whole evening ....
Simone:
71
David:
65
Nick: 65
Sue: 59
Martin: 49
This game was new to both Simone and David, and it was only Martin's second attempt. Simone didn't build a single building throughout the game, earning her points from multiple trips to the castle. I was aiming for the Cathedral, which I managed to build in the final round, but it used everything I had, leaving me with nothing to add extra points on with. David had a bunch of left-over resources to catch me up, and then Simone's extra points from gold and cash was enough to put her way out in front of the pair of us.
Neil
C:
10
Haydn: 9
Tracey: 8
Lesley: 5
I don't know a whole lot about this one, although the set-up was definitely not your standard shape. It looks like it was a pretty close game, however, with Tracey and Haydn just behind Neil as he reached 10 points.
And the gang of four ended the evening with this fun little dungeon-crawler ....
Lesley;
10
Tracey:
7
Haydn: 3
Neil:
2
And a good win for Lesley in this fun little game.
And that was all we had time for this week. Thanks for coming out, and see you all soon.
