Twelve people this week all told, although - thanks to the games weekend - it's been a while since this happened, so I may have forgotten everything that went on!

Games Played:

Trias

The first three in decided to go see if we could change history and stop the extinction of the dinosaurs.

Nick:    30

Woohoo! I won a game of Trias! Winning a game is rare enough, but winning a game of Trias is even more unusual. I managed to get control of the largest island, and then we all decided to fight for the smaller ones for the rest of the game.

Bison

Finished with the dinosaurs, we nipped off to the plains of America (before the destructive people turned up) and tried to hunt some game...

Mark:    (15 + 8 + 4) = 27
Nick:    (8 + 7 + 8) = 23
Mitch:    (6 + 4 + 13) = 23

Mark managed to find a few more living creatures than Mitch and I, although I claimed second thanks to the count-back rule.

Elasund

Four people walked in and disappeared upstairs with this excellent game.

James:    10 cubes

Jon:    6 cubes
Tim:    4 cubes 

An impressive win for James. All four players were new to the game, although a couple had sneaked a look at the "how to play" guide on the web beforehand. Fat lot of good it did them, too.

Funny Friends

A rather bizarre game of this followed (although I don't think you can have a normal one).

Jen:    5 Aims (4 life aims, 1 mega-aim)
Sam:    4 Aims (3 + 1)

Russ:    3 Aims

This game definitely accounts for some of the more overheard comments at Shire Gamers. Sadly, it's so long ago I can't remember any of them!

Augsburg 1520

Mark and I wanted to try this brand new arrival from Germany.

I got the upper hand when Mark overbid for one particular auction, and so the score actually ended up pretty close, thanks to mark making a pretty good comeback.

Yet another excellent game of Saboteur. And the second week running I didn;t pick up a single bit of treasure. I think I'm getting ganged up against!

And that was that. All attentions immediately switched to organising The Cast are Dice event this weekend!
