What a weird night! A few people had let me know they weren't coming for one reason or another, but it came as a bit of a surprise to us that we managed to get a grand total of four people through the doors!

Still .... at least we got some fun games played.

Ra

Sue and Nick were first there, as always, and as the evening seemed a little quiet, we decided we'd have time for a 2 player game of Ra.

Sue:    66

This was a pretty close game, and neither of us knew who had clinched it until we added up the tablets.

Typo

Still on our own, we had another go at this little word game which we've been playing a bit of recently.

Sue:    -11
Nick:    -29

Hmm ... I just couldn't get going in this one, and in true "6 Nimmt!" fashion, I kept starting a new row for Sue nto add a card to.  And "Dutch" is a proper noun ... I knew I shouldn't have allowed it!

Finally someone else arrived! We knew that Mark was on his way as well, and so we played a couple of quick rounds while we were waiting to become four players.

Ys

Mark arrived and we could break out a longer game. We opted for the bidding and bluffing game of Ys ...

A pretty close game, and one that we all thought Brian had one due to an enormous collection of black gems, but it wasn't enough to catch Mark.

Ra

With a little over an hour left, we decided a four-player game of Ra would fit the bill nicely.

Wow - did I get killed in this one!  I'm not quite sure where I went wrong here, but I only just managed to get more points than I started with! I guess having the 1, 2, 4 as my final suns didn't help!

And that was it. A bit of a quiet night, which felt a little odd after getting a regular 10 - 12 people every week.
