This is a really nice tile game that words both as a family game and a filler/quickie for the "gamers".
The board starts with all the animal tiles face-down and each player's ark parked around the edge.
Each turn, players add one of their water tiles to the board, scoring points for adjacent water and flooding one of the "land" spaces. Any face-down animals adjacent to that new water are now revealed.
And then players have two actions: They can move their ark, or they can collect a pair of animals (as long as their ark is adjacent to one of the pair).
The game continues until everyone has used up their water tiles or all of the animals have been flipped face-up.
In the basic game, each pair of animals are worth the same, but in the advanced version they score more if they have been collected by fewer players.
But in either case, each ark has its own "bonus row" of animals that are worth double.
A fun and quick game with just the right amount of "screwage" involved!
