Released at Essen 2005, Antike is a great civilisation-building game from Eggertspiele (and now PD Verlag).

Play the Greeks, Romans, Germans, Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Persians, Arabs, Egyptians or Babylonians on this two-sided board (English on one side, German on the other) and build cities, erect temples, sail the seas and try and gain Kings, Generals, Scientists, Sailors and Citizens to win the game.

German box, but one side of the board is printed in English and English rules are inside. There is a small amount of German text in the game, but it is pretty irrelevant.

This is the second edition, which includes slightly different wooden pieces to the first (fatter ships, taller men and temples).
