This is possibly our favourite game, here at Shire Games.

This was for all intents and purposes the first "worker placement" game back in 2005, and is still the best.

Players are working to build the castle for the King, but will also build other buildings on the way, which other players can benefit from at a small cost to the owner.

There's never a dull moment, turns pass very quickly, and yet the timing of exactly when to do what is absolutely crucial.

Your first game will be purely for learning purposes, but the more you play it, the more clever little things you'll discover.

For a game that has almost no randomness (beyond the order of six buildings at set-up), it's amazing that every game feels fresh and original, and no two games go the same way.

An absolute classic.
This is the fourth edition (we think) of the game, with possibly the nicest cover yet!
