Not to be confused with other games of the same name, this one was first released in 2010 (possibly originally scheduled to coincide with the much-delayed movie).

This is a family game, with each player playing the part of one of the dwarves helping Bilbo Baggins on his quest.

Players use their cards to move Bilbo along his quest and earn rewards, and then these rewards are used during the four "adventures" in the game where the players can earn treasure (or a visit from Smaug the Dragon).

A quick-playing and simple game, beatifully illustrated and fun to play.
